Obituary

Samuel T. Price Jr., 65, of Beckley, transitioned after a long illness, Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, peacefully in his home. Samuel was born April 14, 1956, in Beckley, WV, to the late Elizabeth and Samuel Price. He had a love for cars, helping his neighbors and family. Samuel's biggest aspiration in life was providing for his wife, Patricia Price. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Samuel Price; a sister, Debra Baldwin, Aunt Charlotte Mickey, James Manns; nephews, Kevin and Larry Price and Sampson, also a niece, Debbie Baldwin. Samuel leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Patricia; daughters, Jennifer (Solon) Briggts, Treila (AaRon) Portis; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Mark Gibson; three sisters, Carol Ramsey, Elizabeth Ribbons, Diane Morrison; a brother, James Price and other relatives and friends. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Free Independent Holiness Church, 106 7th St., Beckley, with viewing from 11 to 12 p.m. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Rev. John Burnett will officiate. Services entrusted to Durgan Funeral Home, Beckley. Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
