James L. "Jim" Johnson, 80, of Spring Hill, passed away January 28, 2017, of complications from a vehicle accident. Jim was born on July 26, 1936, the son of the late Chester M. and Amanda Blankenship Johnson. He was a retired construction worker who loved to hunt and fish. Jim was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by six sons, James (Karen) Johnson of Sandyville, Michael (Christy) Johnson and Jeff (Donna) Johnson of Ravenswood, Andy (Paige) Johnson of Chesterfield, VA, Joseph (Jackie) Johnson of Church Road, VA, Mike (Tabitha) Keener of Grafton; daughters, Laurel (Mark) Tanner and Beth (Dale) Harbin of Sandyville, Amy (Mick) Carmichael of Ravenswood, Faith (Galen) Coomer of Dayton, OH; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his uncle Carl "Boots" Johnson; brothers, Henry (Janet) Johnson, Paul Johnson; sisters, Margie (Ron) Dukes and Jenny Holstein; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Angel, Mabel Shultz, Evelyn Price and Patsie Johnson; brother, Ronald Johnson; and grandson, Joseph Johnson. Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with Rev. Jim Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Family Cemetery, Spring Hill.
