Lloyd William "Buck" Burgess, 86, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home, Kingwood, WV. Born April 18, 1930, in Fearer, MD, he was the son of the late Kimmell Jose & Enda Pearl (Savage) Burgess. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Louise (Moats) Burgess and one grandson, Kimmell. Buck was a retired truck driver and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Surviving are two daughters, Leasa Savage and husband, Curtis, Sr., Bruceton Mills; Treasa Sines and husband, Henry, Friendsville; one son, Raymond Burgess and wife, Cynthia, Aurora, WV; one step-son, James Moats, Aurora; 10 grandchildren, Cody, Curtis, Craig, Amanda, Crystal, Elizabeth, Susan, Daniel, Alysia & Toni and 16 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 11:00 am.
