Dorise "Faye" Brugnoli passed away on February 21, 2018 in Fairmont, WV. Hearts have been broken, but God truly has another angel. Her kindness and caring of others will never be forgotten. She was born in Comanche, TX on April 4, 1931 to the late Frank and Lucille Kirkland. She attended Comanche High School where she was active and participated in various curricular and non-curricula activities. She was a majorette and played on the basketball team. She moved to Richwood, WV in 1950 and made that her home after marrying Leo. During her time there, she worked 26 years as a teacher's aide/secretary for the Nicholas County Board of Education. She was an active parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church until her departure to Fairmont. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church's Ladies Auxiliary, a lifetime member of the West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees, worked many years with the county and state Special Olympics, served nine years as a Deputy Assessor in Nicholas, and was elected to serve on the Nicholas County Democrat Executive Committee. She took great pride and joy in watching her children play and participate in various sports as she never missed a game whether it be football, basketball, baseball, or cheering. Her love and devotion to her family was recognized by all her knew her. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Huxley; 3 brothers, Alton, Delbert and Troy Kirkland; 4 sisters, Marie Morgan, Lorena Seals, Zelma Loudermilk and Jewell K. Gallier.
