Joseph A. "Johnny" Dobbins Visitation: Tuesday, June 5 4-8pm Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 6 11am Interment: Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery Joseph Albert “Johnny” Dobbins, 77, of Brownton, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at home. He was born in Brownton on December 10, 1940, a son of the late Joseph and Augustine (Jack) Dobbins. Mr. Dobbins was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Loetta Fay Dobbins on June 3, 2017. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Dobbins was preceded in death by one brother, James Perry Dobbins and one sister, Bonnie Jo Lambert. Joseph is survived by two sons: Patrick John Dobbins and wife Carla of Meadland and Joseph Albert Dobbins II and wife Tina of Beaufort, SC; one sister, Devanna Stoper and husband Lewis of Lumberport; one brother, James Dalles Dobbins of Fairmont; four grandchildren: Samantha Dobbins and wife Lindsay, Zane Dobbins, Gracie Dobbins, and Zoe Dobbins; and two great-grandchildren: Evan Alexander and Alexis Brooke Dobbins. Joseph served his country honorably in the United States Army in the airborne division. Mr. Dobbins was a coal miner and entrepreneur, that loved to “wheel, deal, and trade.” Johnny as he was known to many, was a people person that loved telling stories and joking around with everyone he met. He enjoyed helping people and was always quick to offer his help to others. When he wasn’t working or helping others he enjoyed watching Western movies and shows. Family and friends will be received at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 11am with Rev. Paul Mullen presiding. Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dobbins Family during this time.
