Obituary

Mr. Joe G. Nunley, age 86, of Kanawha City, passed away Monday February 13, 2017 at home after an extended illness. Joe was born March 9, 1930 in Charleston, WV, son of the late Harry and Myrtle Vanater Nunley. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Joe is retired from Libby Owens Glass Plant with 30 years of service. Joe was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a past member of Meadowbrook Country Club. Joe was an avid golfer, mountaineer fan and loved the outdoors. Joe is survived by two daughters, Diana Albertson of Charlotte, NC and Donna Randolph, husband Mike, of Kanawha City; several nieces and nephews. A tribute to Joe?s life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 15 2017, at the upper mausoleum chapel at Cunningham Memorial Park with Minister Roy Moles officiating. There will be a Military service presented by the US Army. In lieu of lowers the family requests donations be made to either HospiceCare or the Kanawha/Charleston Humane Association.
