Daniel L. Knotts *Cremation Services Inurnment: WV National Cemetery to be announced at a later date Daniel Lloyd Knotts, 68, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home. He was born in Flemington on July 21, 1949, a son of the late Herbert and Lela (Blake) Knotts. Daniel is survived by four sons: Tim Knotts and wife Debbie of Sunburst, Montana, Brian Knotts and wife Dedi of Salem, Michael Knotts of South Carolina, and Jamie Knotts and wife Jessica of Rosemont; and six grandchildren: Timothy, Brandon, Matthew, Lucas, Eli, and Aleigha. Also surviving are many friends and extended family. In addition to his parents Daniel was preceded in death by an infant sister. Danny was a graduate of Flemington High School and then served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked as an oxygen pumper for Tri-City Welding in Fairmont and after his retirement there he worked as a stocker at the Rosebud Foodland in Clarksburg. Danny loved anything to do with trains and was a huge Civil War buff. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog “Peanut.” Danny’s wishes for cremation will be honored and a graveside service and inurnment will take place at the WV National Cemetery at a later date to be announced.
