Obituary

Mary Louise Spurlock, 81 of Hernshaw passed away at CAMC Memorial Division on Friday June 1, 2018. Mary was born February 21, 1937, daughter of Hattie & Ben Bowles of Cabin Creek. She dedicated her life to her family and granddaughters. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, flowers and crafts. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd C. Spurlock; sisters, Alice Fauber and Hattie Berry; brother, Ben Bowles. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vicki Spurlock & husband, Mahmood Mehdikhanloo of Charleston, Dr. Kimberly Spurlock-Rahin & husband, Zaeem Rahin of Charleston; granddaughters, who were the light of her life, Hannah Pareesa Rahin & Sarah Ariana Rahin; siblings, Vicki Craigo & Grace Workman. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Burial will follow at Marmet Memorial Gardens, Marmet. A visitation with family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 PM Monday June 4, 2018 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses at CAMC SICU for their excellent care & Dr. Ed Hamrick, Dr. Rob Keith, Dr. Kevin Eggleston, Dr. Sean Groves, Dr. Samip Borad and Dr. Asif Rahman for providing such excellent care through this difficult time.
