Obituary

John Floyd Reed, 64, of Bud, WV passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born on June 16, 1952 in Princeton, WV, a son of the late Ola and Glacie Virginia Reed. In addition to his parents, two brothers Roger and Doug Reed, also preceded him in death. Floyd was a retired logger and a member of the Garwood Church of God. Survivors include his two sons Eric and Zackary Reed both of Bud; five sisters Loma Adkins of Bud, Shirley Rash of Sophia, Eva (Mickey) McClure of Columbus, OH, Kathy (Ray) Walls of Stephenson and Susie Reed of Basin; three brothers Denny (Judy) Reed of Basin, James (Ann) Reed of Basin and Ray Reed of Princeton; his caretaker and friend Vicky Lusk; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at Noon on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Garwood Church of God, Garwood, WV with Pastor Ricky Shrewsbury officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Reed Family Cemetery, Basin, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6 - 9:00 PM on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the funeral home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
